INFORMATION AND GUIDANCE FOR VOLUNTARY SECTOR
ORGANISATIONS WANTING TO ACCESS OTHER AGENCY TRAINING
Introduction
Welcome to the training programmes section!
We have now posted a number of training plans and brochures on this website that are available for staff and volunteers from the voluntary sector to access. The agencies that have provided these plans are keen to provide training on a multi-agency basis, and welcome participants from all types of voluntary organisations. However, please be aware that a few of the courses listed may only be suitable for internal employees (e.g. Norfolk County Council staff), as the agencies involved have sent us their entire programme, rather than pick out individual courses. There may also be some specialist courses where participants should have attended another (introductory-level) course before attending, so please be certain to check criteria before applying.
In some cases, organisations already have their training programmes on their own websites (e.g. LSCB), so in these cases we have provided the links at the end of this section.
Each agency continues to be responsible for managing the administration of the training programmes they offer, and each will have their own processes and costs. In most cases these will be explained within the brochure, but where they are not, the contacts listed below may be able to provide the relevant information you need. Please be aware that some agencies may allocate places on a first-come-first-serve basis, while others will wait until a set time before the course and allocate places to provide a mix of participants from both the public and voluntary sectors.
